Homeowner bullying property association

info@islandpacket.comJanuary 26, 2014

A recent letter writer was concerned about bullying that is taking place regarding beach access. She is right about the bullying, but she is dead wrong about who is doing it.

The bullying has not been done by the Forest Beach Owners Association that simply wants to assure that the public can access the beach as legally deeded, but by a homeowner who wants to keep others from walking next to her house and perhaps spoiling her view. Her right to decorate and landscape her home ends at her property line. She has no more right to trespass on adjoining property as the letter writer has to trespass onto the woman's property. End of story.
