A Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School student was arrested last week, accused of threatening the assistant principal, according to a Hardeeville Police Department report.

Assistant principal Arthur Williams reportedly brought the student to his office Jan. 15 after he was told of a problem a teacher had with the boy that morning, the report said. The student began cursing, refused to turn over his phone and headphones, and threatened to punch Williams, according to the report.

He later threatened a police officer. After a short struggle, he was handcuffed and charged with resisting arrest, threatening a public official and public disorderly conduct, the report said.
