A Pennsylvania teen was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle in Ridgeland, according to the Ridgeland Police Department.

Police stopped Cody Anthony Carney, 17, of Kittanning, Pa., on East Main Street around 2:25 a.m. Wednesday.

Pennsylvania authorities later contacted Ridgeland police because of a possible connection between the stolen vehicle and a bank robbery and other charges in that state, according to the release.

Carney was taken to the Jasper County Detention Center, and his bond was set at $5,000.
