Police investigating death of Port Royal beauty shop owner

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Port Royal man, according to a news release.

Aboulhassan Aboulhassan, 48, was found at about 10 a.m. Monday unconscious and bleeding from a head injury behind the register of the AN Beauty Supply store he owned on Ribaut Road. Aboulhassan was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital, then to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he died from his injury, the release said.

An autopsy will be performed at MUSC to determine the cause and manner of Aboulhassan's death, which is being investigated by the Port Royal Police Department.
