The moms featured in this column are not bragging about themselves. They often have no idea they are even being selected for the weekly feature until they get a phone call. Most are recommended by readers. Please send your suggestions of Lowcountry moms to features writer Amy Bredeson at abredeson@islandpacket.com.

Name: Emily Huffman

Fiancè: Jeff Baumhoer

Town: Bluffton

Children: Harrison, 7; Hadley, 3

Occupation: Owner of Resort Appliance Company

Favorite mommy moment: I have two. My first time deer hunting with my 7-year-old son. And seeing my daughter's face as she processed that she was standing in front of Cinderella's Castle on her first trip to Walt Disney World.

Most challenging moment: Staying strong and calm when Hadley was admitted into the children's hospital at 4 months old for a bone infection. A week later, she came home on IVs for the next six weeks. Thankful to say, she's been perfectly healthy ever since.

What's the one thing that's OK to let go? The hope we will all ever eat the same meal for dinner

Biggest stressor: When work and children need me at the same time

Stress reliever: Online shopping ... OK, any kind of shopping

Favorite quote: "Do. Or do not. There is no try." -- Yoda

Go-to lunch: I often eat high protein. At least three days a week, my go-to lunch is an omelet from The Sugaree.

Product you can't live without: We are so thankful for Henry, our family's Elf on the Shelf. He occasionally comes to visit as a reward or a behavior reminder throughout the year. But Jeff would say that I absolutely cannot live without my iPhone.

Hidden talent: I always seem to find a way to get one more thing accomplished.

Advice for other moms: Make time for yourself and for your partner. And anytime there seems like too much to do, make a list.
