Bluffton 75, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 54: Bluffton and Ridgeland-Hardeeville played the rubber match in their season series Saturday night at Bluffton High School, and it was the Bluffton boys who came away victorious with a 75-54 win.

Ridgeland-Hardeeville (8-5) won the teams' first meeting this year, 63-54, in early December, but Bluffton took the next matchup, 74-71, later that month.

"I thought we defended and rebounded better against them this time," Bluffton coach Brett Macy said. "We didn't let them get to the rim nearly as much as they have the last couple of times we faced them."

Bluffton (10-3) outscored the Jaguars 21-13 in the third quarter after taking a 32-27 lead into halftime.

D.J. Dobson had 28 points to lead the Bobcats, who went 3-0 on the week. Jae Middleton, Adriel Willis and B.J. Hill each scored 12 points. LaQuan Washington added eight.

Macy credited Hill with shutting down Jaguars star T.J. Frazier, who was held to four points just one night after scoring 28 against Garrett Tech.

Bluffton will be back in action Tuesday, hosting Summerville in a game to determine the leader in Region 8-AAAA.

Beaufort High 72, Burke 56: Adonis Grant rang up 25 points and Otis McClain scored 17 to help the Eagles notch a non-region win in Charleston.

Beaufort High (13-2) returns to Region 8-AAAA action Tuesday at Ashley Ridge.

Deont'e Washington scored 17 points to lead Burke.

Beaufort High 46, Burke 26: Mattie Hibbs, Naijuia Moyd and Jasmine Wallace each scored nine points, and Bre-Anna Heyward-White had eight 8 for Beaufort High.

The Eagles (4-11) play at Ashley Ridge on Tuesday.

Chantel Brightman-Haynes scored 11 to lead Burke.

Hilton Head Christian Academy 60, Bible Baptist 30: Ziaira Doe scored 22 points and Monica Bundy added 18 to lead the short-handed Eagles to an easy win one night after suffering their first loss of the season.

Andy Anderson chipped in with 11 points, Bria McCarthy had six and Jossie Frasier scored three for the Christian Academy (10-1), which hosts Thomas Heyward Academy on Thursday.

Bluffton High School: The Bobcats finished runner-up at the Highlander Duals hosted by Heathwood Hall in Columbia, falling to Class 4-A powerhouse White Knoll in the championship match.

Bluffton went 4-1 in the 18-team tournament to boost its season record to 30-6. This is the second time the Bobcats have reached the 30-win mark in a season. This year's team will be challenging for the school record of 34 dual wins, set in 2008.

Bluffton defeated Orangeburg Prep (78-6), Ridge View (65-18), Westfield, Ga. (57-18), and River Bluff (39-28) before dropping the final to fourth-ranked White Knoll, 55-16.

Kaden Seitz, Javier Lopez, Levi Joly, Talon Seitz and Mike Meyerink all went undefeated in the tournament for the Bobcats, who wrestle a Region 8-AAAA match at Ashley Ridge on Monday.
