Heritage Library to give tours of Hilton Head historic sites on Tuesdays

The Heritage Library History and Genealogy Center is offering a presentation on Hilton Head Island's historic sites to acquaint visitors with the island's history and encourage them to explore on their own.

The talk will be given from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Highlights include prehistoric Hilton Head, discovery and settlement by Europeans, the island's involvement in the Revolutionary War, Union occupation during the Civil War, and the development of the island as a resort destination. A $5 donation is requested.
