The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers for two programs.

The first is for licensed beauty professionals to be trained as Look Good Feel Better volunteer facilitators. The program helps women undergoing cancer treatment to cope with appearance-related side effects and regain a sense of self-confidence and control. A certification training will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at Beaufort Memorial Keyserling Cancer Center, 1680 Ribaut Road, Port Royal.

The second is for its Road to Recovery program. Volunteers are also needed to help cancer patients get to and from their treatment appointments. Drivers are needed in Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties. Free training is provided through a live monthly session or a webinar. Requirements for volunteering include a good driving record, a valid driver's license, auto insurance and a vehicle in good working condition. Drives must be 18 years of age or older. The society will perform background checks.

Details or to attend training: Fronde Merchant, 843-744-1922 or fronde.merchant@cancer.org
