Beaufort County made right call on preservation

I want to thank the newspaper. Its staff kept a very crucial issue on the front burner. My husband and I attended a meeting in Beaufort, along with many other concerned folks, to plead with Beaufort County Council to never allow property near the Okatie River to go down the tubes because of overdevelopment.

Thank God County Council acted in a very positive and responsible manner. I applaud its decision to protect our precious river. I thank the newspaper for its effort to keep the people of the beautiful Lowcountry ahead of the curve. There is power in information.

As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I love the newspaper.
