Drug activity investigated at Hilton Head apartment

Six people have been arrested following an investigation into suspected drug activity at a Hilton Head Island apartment, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.

Investigators searched a unit of Tabby Walk, 30 Mathews Drive, at about 5 p.m. Thursday after making controlled purchases of illegal drugs, the release said.

Deputies seized 6.5 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of marijuana, 45 Xanax pills and drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

Ibe Antonio Frazier, 36, of Yemassee was charged with intent to distribute crack cocaine. His bond was set at $10,000.

Stephan Roberson, 33, of Bluffton was charged with violation of probation and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and a controlled substance. He is being held pending a bond hearing.

Four other Hilton Head residents were charged with misdemeanors:

  • A 47-year-old man, with simple possession of crack cocaine; bond set at $5,000.
  • A 43-year-old woman, with simple possession of crack cocaine; held pending a bond hearing.
  • A 30-year-old man, with simple possession of marijuana; released from jail.
  • A 36-year-old man, on an outstanding warrant for driving under suspension.
