Birdwatching tour planned for refuge

Wilderness Southeast, a nonprofit educational organization, will lead a bird-scouting tour this month in the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge.

Diana Churchill, a naturalist guide and local author, will lead the tour from 2 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 19.

The tour costs $30 per person or $15 per child under 12 accompanied by a parent. It includes use of binoculars and a spotting scope. Reservations are required: Call 912-236-8115 or email
