Two armed men robbed a couple and their child Sunday night at a Port Royal Days Inn.

The couple told the Port Royal Police Department that about 8:15 p.m. they heard a knock on their room door at the motel at 1660 Ribaut Road. Expecting visitors, the couple opened the door and were surprised by two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a pistol, according to Lt. Andre Massey.

The men ordered the couple and their child to the floor. They stole $80 and an Xbox 360 before leaving, Massey said.

Massey said the family did not know the men, and no hotel employees saw the thieves.

No suspects have been identified in the investigation, he said.
