Activity in church: Chairwoman of the board of trustees

Wherever they need somebody. I am the head of the board of trustees and I'm the treasurer. I do a lot of other things around the church. I prepare the bulletins for Sunday services and maintain the mailing list. I'll help with the women's ministry and am involved with fundraising. I fill in wherever they need somebody to do something.

The lessons. I've learned to just have faith and trust in God. He's going to provide for whatever we need. When we established the church we were meeting at the high school, and we were able to obtain financing and be able to buy the building where we are right now. The building didn't have any seats, but a church was getting rid of pews and was willing to give them to us. There have been a number of instances when we needed something -- either the materials or the funds to buy the things that we needed -- and God provided.

The reward. Just being able to help people. I think a way to give back for all the blessings I've received is to give back to other people.

Bible verse. Psalms 143: 8-10. "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground."
