A Hilton Head Island man was arrested Monday after allegedly threatening to kill his pregnant girlfriend, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

Mishael Macias-Rameriz, 19, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.

Macias-Rameriz was at a home on Amelia Court on Monday afternoon when he threatened to assault his 19-year-old girlfriend, who is eight months pregnant with his child, the report said.

The woman locked him out of the home and called his father, but Macias-Rameriz climbed back in through a window, the report said. He briefly held several knives before putting them down, but when his girlfriend went to retrieve them, he knocked her down, according to the report.

His 41-year-old father arrived and tried to defuse the situation, but Macias-Rameriz threatened to stab his father and girlfriend to death, the report said. He head-butted his father several times, until a passerby who heard yelling came to his aid and helped subdue Macias-Rameriz until deputies arrived shortly before 2:45 p.m.

Macias-Rameriz is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center, with bond set at $30,000, according to the jail log.

His father, who suffered a golf ball-size welt on his head, did not require medical assistance, the report said.
