James suffered a concussion during a high school sporting event and suffered temporary amnesia.

His mother stayed by his side until he regained his memory a few days later. Because of missing work, she couldn't pay all of her electric bill and sought assistance from Bluffton Self Help, which paid the remainder of the bill.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
