Bluffton woman charged with stabbing ex-boyfriend

A Bluffton woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly stabbing her former boyfriend in the chest with a pair of scissors, according to the Bluffton Police Department.

Ebony Fripp, 30, was arguing with the man about 12:30 a.m. at 107 Haigler Boulevard when she allegedly grabbed the scissors and plunged them into his chest, a department news release said.

Fripp was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, the release said. She is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center pending a bond hearing, according to the jail log.

The victim was treated at Hilton Head Hospital, the release said. He was released Saturday.
