Two people were shot in separate incidents in Dale early Wednesday morning, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Both victims were transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Capt. Joey Woodward.

In the first incident, officers were called to the Spann Circle area about 1 a.m. after witnesses heard multiple shots, Woodward said. Soon afterward, a 22-year-old man arrived at the Sheldon Fire District with a gun shot wound to the back, Woodward said.

Deputies also discovered four cars had been shot near Spann Circle, causing about $7,000 worth of damage, according to a report on the incident.

Deputies have no suspects in that incident.

At about 1:45 a.m., officers heard shots in the area of Keans Neck Road.

A 24-year-old woman later came to the Sheldon Fire District with a gun shot wound in the lower back.

Witnesses said the suspect was driving an SUV, Woodward said.

An investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
