Paula and David Storey

David and Paula Storey of Palmetto Hall will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on January 11, 2014.

They were married in 1964 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Lake View, N.Y.

David and Paula both grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. and  met when David came over to paint Paula’s brother’s house.

It was love at first sight.

They lived in New York City and Rochester, N.Y. for several years while David worked for Kodak. The couple moved back to Buffalo where David worked as an inventory manager for Anheuser-Busch and Paula worked for Nardin Academy as a guidance counselor and religion teacher.

After a lifetime of snow and cold, they retired to Hilton Head Island and love the community and the weather. They have three daughters, Kate, Deb and Marina, a son-in-law John, and two grandchildren, Cecelia and Jack.
