Hilton Head Island High boys advance to finals of Seahawk Holiday Classic; HHH girls fall

Seahawk Holiday Classic host school Hilton Head Island High had two chances to play for a title Sunday, and one squad came through to advance to Monday's finale.

Led by guard Aaron Frazier's 20 points, the Hilton Head High boys moved on to the tournament finals with a 62-56 victory over Cumberland County (Tenn.).

The Seahawks will face Dutch Fork at 4:30 p.m. Monday, after Dutch Fork defeated Maryland's Severn School 59-49.

Troy Clifford chipped in 15 points for the Seahawks (6-2), and Bryce Singleton scored 10.

The Hilton Head High girls dropped into Monday's third-place game after falling 68-35 to Smyrna (Tenn.) on Sunday.

Lauryn Bush led the Seahawks (6-2) with 15 points, and Savannah Reier contributed 10 points and five steals.
