Prep Roundup, Dec. 18: Bluffton wrestlers take tri-match at Whale Branch

Bluffton High School defeated Whale Branch Early College High School on Wednesday night as part of a tri-match in Seabrook, S.C.

WRESTLING

Bluffton 57, Stall 24; Bluffton 63, Whale Branch 15; Whale Branch 42, Stall 30: The Bobcats improved to 18-3 after winning both of their matches in a tri-match at Whale Branch.

Kaden Seitz (106), Levi Joly (113), Josh Simonsen (120), Buddy Drew (126), Talon Seitz (130), Mike Meyerink (170), Andres Nava (195) and Leo Boyd (220) each went 2-0 for Bluffton.

For the Warriors, Tasheen Williams (126) and Eric Saunders (160) each went 1-1 with a pin.

Next up for Bluffton and Whale Branch is the Seahawk Slam this Friday and Saturday in Savannah, Ga.

Battery Creek 64, Baptist Hill 12; Battery Creek 66, Garrett 15; Battery Creek 42, Richmond Hill (Ga.) 32: The Dolphins went 3-0 in a quad match to improve to 15-5.

Five Dolphins went 3-0: Omar Daniels (106), Daryl Foster (113), Caleb Weaver (132), Cooper Kaminsky (195) and Jonathan Wright (Hwt.).

Four more Dolphins went 2-0, as well. They were Tyler Muterspaugh (152), Brian Labean (145), Pernando Whitehead (138) and Diontre Delaney (126). Delaney's pin sealed the win over Richmond Hill.

The Dolphins will compete at the Seahawk Slam this weekend in Savannah, Ga.
