People can surprise you by doing the right thing

Recently, I heard a knock on my door early one morning. When I went to the door, there was a young man, speaking broken English, explaining to me that he had backed into my mailbox and knocked it over.

First of all, I was impressed that he came to tell me. Second of all, I was really impressed that he assured me that he would fix my mailbox. By the way, it has been hit several times, and nobody else ever offered to fix it.

When I got home from work that evening, my mailbox was in better shape than it had ever been before.

I wish I knew the name of the landscaping employee who repaired it. I would like to thank him and thank his company. This is just a great example of good-hearted, hardworking individuals wanting to do the right thing. Whoever you are, I appreciate you, and I'm proud of you. During the holiday season, this renews my faith in mankind.
