Beaufort Police: Sandwich shop on Robert Smalls hit by armed robber

An armed robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday during a hold-up of the Subway restaurant at 330 Robert Smalls Parkway.

City of Beaufort Police say the robber wore a black hoodie with writing on the front and a black hat turned backward. He pointed a pistol at a clerk, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount, according to a department news release Monday morning.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a 5-foot-6 black man of medium build, between the ages of 30 and 40.

An investigation continues, according to the release. Anyone with information should call Investigator Culligan at 843-322-7969.
