In Good Faith: 'Volunteering makes me connected to people'

Together. The church's mission is "Love God, love people and bring the two together," and outreach is a way to make that happen.

That connection. My favorite thing is when I see that connection, and see that volunteer absolutely loving what they're doing. You see that expression on their face, and you know you've made that connection. You know you've created an event, a way for them to give back, and it's rewarding for them.

In me. Volunteering has always been in my life. It's what makes me connected to people. I feel like we're commanded to volunteer, and we're commanded to love others and help others. It's always been in me.

Christmas cheer. We'll be going out on Christmas Eve to bring some cheer to those who are working, who can't be with their families. So we'll be delivering care packages to those at the fire station, police station and hospitals.
