A Lady's Island man was arrested Friday on charges of stealing a gun and jewelry from relatives.

In August, a man contacted the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office after he noticed his Springfield XD9 pistol worth $400 was missing from his unlocked SUV, according to a crime report. The man later noticed a silver and diamond Bulova watch worth $500 was missing from the vehicle the report said.

Deputies conducted three criminal investigations, in which a relative of the victim allegedly stole guns and other valuables from family members, according to the report.

Officers charged 22-year-old Taylor Kevin Kennedy on Friday with second-degree burglary upon his return to the county from a job site in Myrtle Beach, the report said.

He is in the Beaufort County Detention Center, with bond set at $10,000, according to the jail log.
