A shooting outside a Beaufort motorcycle club left one man injured early Friday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.

The 52-year-old man was likely an unintended victim of an exchange of gunfire between two or more suspects, the release said. Deputies arrived at Nighthawks Motorcycle Club about 12:30 a.m. and found the man lying on a picnic table with a shoulder wound. He was treated at Beaufort Memorial Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, the release said.

The victim was unable to identify the suspects and could not say how the shooting occurred. Club patrons also were unable to provide information about the incident, according to the release.

Deputies have no suspects, and a motive has not been identified.

Anyone with information can call Sgt. J. Fraser at 843-255-3416 or Crime Stoppers at 888-274-6372.
