Coastal Discovery Museum presents 'Whales of South Carolina' program

The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn will host coastal species expert Al Segars for his "Whales of South Carolina" presentation at 3 p.m. Jan. 15 at 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island.

A veterinarian with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Segars has studied endangered and threatened coastal species.

Segars will discuss the history of whales that visit the state's shores, their current status, and the threats they face.
