USCB chamber series continues with selections from Gershwin, Dvorak

The University of South Carolina Beaufort's Center for the Arts concert series continues at 5 p.m. Dec. 15 with a concert at the school's Center for the Arts, 801 Carteret St., Beaufort. The concert will feature clarinetist Todd Palmer and violinists Amy Schwartz Moretti, Aaron Boyd, Dimitri Murrath and Ed Arron.

Gershwin's "Lullaby for String Quartet" will be featured, along with a Dvorak's romantic Four Miniatures for 2 Violins and Viola, and Mozart's only clarinet quintet.

The series will continue through April. On Feb. 9, the series will feature pianist Benjamin Hochman, violinists Arnaud Sussmann and Arron, and violist Max Mandel for a program of works by Mozart, Brahms, Schumann, and Turina. On March 9, violinist Tessa Lark, pianist Pedja Muzijevic, violinist/violist Erin Keefe, double bassist Kurt Muroki, and Arron will play works including Mark O'Connor's Appalachia Waltz, Rossini and Bartok, and Schubert's "Trout" Quintet. The season finale will be April 27 and features pianist Jeewon Park, violinist Yosuke Kawasaki, and cellist Ed Arron performing works of Mendelssohn, Shostakovich, and Bach.
