Grandfather cares for grandchildren with a hand from Bluffton Self Help

info@islandpacket.comDecember 9, 2013

Jack, who is a grandfather on Social Security, decided to adopt his two grandchildren after his son went to prison.

Bluffton Self Help enabled him to obtain clothing for himself and the children and allowed him to participate in the twice weekly food distributions to save money on groceries. It also provided him with new sheets, new comforters, towels and books for his grandchildren, all for their new rooms in his house.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
