Pineland Station Mall on Hilton Head Island will present its third annual "A Very Pineland Christmas Village," with a grand opening and visit by Santa at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event will feature free food and beverages, entertainment and prize drawings, according to a news release.

This year's display, centered on a snow-capped mountain with working trains, was designed by Greg Crispell and based on the popular children's book "The Polar Express," according to the release.

The mall also will accept donations of canned goods and toys for The Deep Well Project and Friends of the Hilton Head Library.
