Woman able to buy dentures, pay rent thanks to Bluffton Self Help

info@islandpacket.comDecember 2, 2013

Janice is disabled and receives a monthly check.

She regularly uses the weekly food distributions at Bluffton Self Help to save money on grocery expenses. At the end of each month, she has no money left.

Her dentures broke, and buying new ones would leave her unable to pay rent.

After receiving proof of disability payments and an estimate for a new upper set of dentures from a dental clinic, Bluffton Self Help was able to help her obtain a new pair of dentures.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
