Let's work together to fix health care law

info@islandpacket.comNovember 29, 2013

In order to foster a more competitive market place, President Barack Obama urged Congress to deny health insurance companies exemptions from antitrust laws.

The next logical step that would improve the 906-page federal health care law would be to add much-needed tort reform in order to avoid excessive lawsuits.

Finally, if more health care services could be offered at retail clinics where clients pay and at free clinics, this would lower the costs usually incurred by residents going to primary care physicians.

Now is the time for practical, bipartisan health care solutions.
