Hilton Head Island's Christmas tree lighting will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, 14 Shelter Cove Lane.

The festival will feature face painting, holiday crafts, photo opportunities with Santa and a musical performance by the cast of "42nd Street." Santa will be joined by Mrs. Claus and Rudolph; they will arrive at 3:45 p.m. with the traditional welcoming parade.

The tree lighting by Mayor Drew Laughlin will end the event. Nonperishable food items and unwrapped toy donations will be collected for The Deep Well Project.
