According to AccuWeather, a gale warning remains in effect for Hilton Head Island and Beaufort until 1 p.m.

Wednesday.On the coast, southwest winds of 20 to 30 knots (23 to 35 mph) are expected, with gusts of up to 40 knots (46 mph).

Gale-force winds and high water on the coast can produce dangerous conditions, especially for small craft. Those at sea should avoid hazardous conditions.
