Prep Roundup, Nov. 26: Weslake leads Beaufort Academy girls to win, 44-21

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Beaufort Academy 44, Coastal Hurricanes 21: Miranda Weslake outscored Beaufort Academy's opponent all by herself, pouring in 23 points.

Mary Keane added seven points and Casey Kahn four points for the Eagles (1-1). Guard Carli Cline led the defense.

Beaufort Academy plays in Colleton Prep's tournament next week in Walterboro.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Coastal Hurricanes 46, Beaufort Academy 38: Daniel Collins scored 20 points to lead the Savannah home-school team to victory at Beaufort Academy.

Ross Walker led Beaufort Academy (0-2) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Kevin Williams had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who trailed 19-18 at halftime.

Beaufort Academy takes on Colleton Prep on Tuesday in the Warhawk Classic.
