Hilton Head Island's Christmas tree lighting will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, 14 Shelter Cove Lane. The festival will feature face painting, holiday crafts, photo opportunities with Santa, a musical performance by the cast of "42nd Street" and more. There will be hot chocolate, coffee, barbecue, cupcakes and other treats for sale. Santa will be joined by Mrs. Claus and Rudolph; they will arrive at 3:45 p.m. with the traditional welcoming parade. The tree lighting by Mayor Drew Laughin will end the event. Non-perishable food items and unwrapped toy donations will be collected for the Deep Well Project.
