Family Promise of Beaufort County and Palmetto Animal League have created PAL's Promise, a collaboration designed to keep families and their pets together. Family Promise of Beaufort County provides temporary shelter for families in the county. Sometimes they have pets, and the organization has had to turn them away because there is nowhere to house the pets. Through the new PAL's Promise, the animals will now be placed with foster families, and the pet's family will be able to visit the pet while they get back on their feet. In addition, PAL takes care of vet care, spaying/neutering and food.
