Hilton Head High cheerleading squad finishes 5th at state competition

The Hilton Head Island High School competitive cheerleading team took fifth place Saturday in the Class 3-A state meet at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia.

River Bluff claimed the state title. Chapin was second, followed by Palmetto, Belton-Honea Path and the Seahawks, who won the Lower State championship in qualifying for the state meet.

Hilton Head High is coached by Annette Lee and Michele Hughes.
