An Aiken woman discovered jewelry and clothes missing from her Hilton Head Island condo this month.

The 46-year-old left her Bluewater Resort unit at about 11 a.m. Nov. 9 and returned two hours later to find an amber pendant missing, along with a pair of jeans, a pair of underwear, a blouse and a makeup kit, worth a total of $490, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Other valuables, such as a cellphone, were not stolen, the report stated. The woman reported the theft Friday.

She did not know how someone gained access to her room, as the doors were locked and require a key card to access, she told deputies.
