Coastal Carolina, Hilton Head hospitals to host sessions on Affordable Care Act

Coastal Carolina and Hilton Head hospitals have launched a community education and outreach initiative to raise awareness and understanding of the Affordable Care Act.

The "Path to Health" program is designed for uninsured people and others to learn how the changes implemented in the healthcare law will affect them and what they need to do to get affordable health care coverage.

Educational materials, resources, tips and guidance will be offered at the following dates by Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services: Nov. 22 at the Hilton Head Hospital boardroom and lobby; Nov. 25 at Coastal Carolina Hospital's main lobby; Dec. 2, 9, 16, and 23 at Coastal Carolina Hospital; Dec. 13, 20, and 27 at Hilton Head Hospital. All sessions are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
