Marines: Pilot training is noisy but necessary

Increased jet noise is expected near the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort during pilot training Nov. 18-21, according to a news release from the station

The training will be noisy, but it is necessary for preparing pilots for "numerous day and night flights they will perform during deployment," the release states.

"Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort sincerely appreciates the community's support and patience as we prepare to send Marines and sailors into harm's way," the release states.

Training will take place from from 8 a.m. until midnight, Nov. 18 to 21.
