  • The school's JROTC instructor, Gunnery Sgt. Shannon, won $100 for classroom supplies after his student, Raven Chapman, entered him in the "Favorite Teacher Contest" at Skeet Burris and Travis Fiegle's orthodontics practice, Winning Orthodontic Smiles.

  • The school celebrated its 50th birthday on Nov. 1.

    ENRICHMENT

  • To show their appreciation for all servicemen and women, students took part in The Big Thank You 2013. Kindergarteners through eighth-graders drew cards or wrote more than 150 letters of thanks that were sent to those deployed overseas. Next month, students will participate in the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

  • EVENTS
  • The 12th Annual Homes for the Holidays Gala and Tour, which benefits the school's Endowment Fund, will take place Nov. 22 through Nov. 24. The Gala will include a silent auction, refreshments, and dancing and begins at 7 p.m. Nov. 22. Tickets are $75. Home tours are Nov. 23 and 24 at downtown Beaufort's The Point. Five private homes and St. Peter's recently restored Chapel of Holy Cross, will be featured. Tour tickets are $25. Details: Dee Avard, 843-522-2163.
