Home Helpers of Hilton Head Island -- an in-home health care and companionship service for seniors, new and expectant mothers and people who require recuperative care -- has won the 2013 International Franchise Association's Franchisee of the Year award.

"We are truly honored to receive this prestigious award," Debbie Morris, who co-owns the service with Ted Cooley, said. "Being part of the Home Helpers family has allowed us to make a difference in the lives of so many people -- from our clients and their loved ones to that of our employees."

Home Helpers is affiliated with Direct Link, a national provider of medical alert systems, a news release said.
