A fire destroyed a mobile home in northern Beaufort County on Wednesday, a Burton Fire District spokesman said.

Firefighters from the Burton Fire District and the Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Department battled a blaze in a single-wide mobile home on Castle Rock Road, spokesman Daniel Byrne said.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 4:19 p.m. to find the mobile home burning heavily, Byrne said.

Firefighters were still putting out hot spots as of 8:15 p.m., Byrne said.

No injuries were reported from the fire, Byrne said. The Red Cross was dispatched to help a family displaced by the fire. Beaufort County EMS personnel and Beaufort County Sheriff's Office deputies were also on scene assisting, Byrne said.

No cause for the fire has been determined yet, Byrne said.
