6th annual Taste of Waddell set for Sunday

The sixth annual Taste of Waddell will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Waddell Mariculture Center at 211 Sawmill Creek Road in Bluffton.

The event is a celebration of the Port Royal Sound ecosystem and benefits local cobia, red drum and sea trout stocking efforts, according to a news release.

The celebration includes a shrimp dinner, May River oysters, a drawing, a silent auction, cocktails and music by Lowcountry Boil. S.C. Department of Natural Resources scientist and cobia expert Michael Denson will deliver a presentation about the sustainability of the Beaufort County fishery.

Tickets cost $30.
