Battery Creek concluded its regular season with a bang Friday night, winning 53-21 at Academic Magnet.

The win secures fourth place in Region 6-AA for the Dolphins (5-5, 4-3).

"We played really well," Battery Creek coach Jim Shuman said. "Came out, played hard, played a good, complete game against a really good Academic Magnet team."

Academic Magnet finishes 3-7, 1-6 in Region 6-AA.

Yuneek Crittendon led the way for the Dolphins with 150 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Tyrone Dilbert wasn't far behind with 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Alterell Chatman rushed for 85 yards and two scores, and Raekwon Smalls added a touchdown.

On defense, Isaiah Sloan led the way with 15 tackles. Jason Green had eight tackles, and Marshall Heyward had six.

Shuman believes the Dolphins will be on the road for the first round of the playoffs, but won't know for sure until after the seeding meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday in Columbia.
