Bluffton Township Fire District responded to a Cardinal Lane garage fire today.

The Bluffton Township Fire District received a call for a shed fire on Cardinal Lane off Old Bailey Road about 8:45 a.m. Friday morning.

Upon arrival, they found the detached garage in flames, with danger of the blaze spreading to the home about 25 feet away, according to Randy Hunter, spokesman for the district.

By working quickly, firefighters were able to contain the fire, Hunter said. There were no injuries reported but the garage was completely burnt, Hunter said. He did not have an estimate of the value of the damage Friday morning and said the cause of the incident is still under investigation.

It did not appear to have been sparked by leftover Halloween decorations, he said.
