Hilton Head Hospital to present seminar on pre-diabetes

People with prediabetes or who are at a high risk of developing diabetes can attend a one-hour informational session at 5 p.m. Nov. 5 in the board room at Hilton Head Hospital. The class explains prediabetes and will include nutrition and lifestyle strategies to help prevent or delay onset of type 2 diabetes.

Prediabetes is defined by a higher than normal blood glucose level, but levels that aren't high enough to be called type 2 diabetes. They are generally no symptoms, but the condition puts a person at greater risk of developing diabetes or cardiovascular disease. To attend: 1-877-582-2737.
