Chamber Music Charleston to present mixture of music, acting in 'Beethoven' show

Clarence Felder portrays Beethoven while pianist Irina Pevzner plays one of the composer's sonatas in Chamber Music Charleston's "Beethoven: His Woman and His Music."

Chamber Music Charleston will open its 2013-14 Hilton Head Chamber Music series at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting St., Hilton Head. The opening event is a collaboration with Actors' Theatre of South Carolina, "Beethoven: His Women and His Music."

Actor Clarence Felder will portray Beethoven; cellist Timothy O'Malley and pianist Irina Pevzner will play selections from Beethoven's cello and piano sonatas between the composer's musings. The season will continue with performances on March 3 and April 21. Tickets are $50 for all three shows; $20 for individual concerts. Details: www.chambermusiccharleston.org
