Coastal Carolina hosting sessions on diabetes in November

Coastal Carolina Hospital will present its annual Diabetes University as a four-part series during the month of November. The series is designed to help people with diabetes or who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes learn how to better manage their condition. The series starts with "Live It Up: Do Healthy Behaviors Really Reduce Your Risk of Diabetes and its Complications" from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 2 in the medical office building, 1010 Medical Center Dr., Hardeeville.

Other sessions are: "There's Nothing 'Pre' about Pre-Diabetes: What You Need to Know" is from 5 to 6 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center, 40 Okatie Center Blvd. S., Okatie; "Gut Check: Learn How Diabetes Affects Your Digestion and the GI Tract," 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 12 in Ste. 220 of the medical office building, 1001 Medical Center Drive, Hardeeville; and "Sweet Healing: Poor Diabetes Control and its Effect on Surgery and Wound Healing," 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center, 40 Okatie Center Blvd. S., Okatie.
