Beaufort police seek two for armed robbery at Family Dollar Sunday night

BEAUFORT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Beaufort police are looking for two men who used a handgun and a stun gun to rob the Family Dollar, 1291 Ribaut Road, about 9 p.m. Sunday night.

An employee said the two unknown suspects entered the business with their weapons out and pointing, according to a Beaufort Police Department release.

One demanded money from the employee, while the other suspect went to the back of the store where another employee was.

Both employees were taken to the back of the store, and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Neither employee was injured.

According to police, the suspect with the stun gun was a 5-foot-3-inch black man, weighing 160 lbs. He wore a black ski mask, long-sleeved white shirt with a black T-shirt layered on top and red and white shoes.

The suspect with the handgun was described as a 5-foot-6-inch black man, weighing 160 lbs. He wore a black scarf over his face, a black beanie cap, black shirt and black and white shoes.
